Hello Wedgwood Families! Just a reminder that our Winter Concert: Wedgwood Around the World will occur on December 13th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Nathan Hale High School! Join us for a night full of songs in other languages and dances from cultures all around the globe. In addition to songs and dances, the students have been working on art from the cultures they have been studying, which will be displayed at the concert.
This year we are splitting it up into two concerts with Grades K-2 performing from 5:30-6:20 pm (afterwards you can go look at all the art!) and Grades 3-5 performing from 6:40-7:30 pm (maybe check out the great art during the earlier concert). Choir will be performing their songs at both concerts!
Day of the event:
Kindergarten - Second grade - Please have your student(s) arrive at 5:10pm and meet in the Lobby of the Performing Arts Center. Coming a smidge early helps us start promptly at 5:30!
There someone will take them to their designated “waiting” room backstage based grade level. This is where the students will stay during the other performances (a stage manager/teacher will get them and lead them to the stage when it’s their turn). After the final choir performance students will be escorted back to lobby (at 6:20pm) and each grade level will have a designated spot to be picked up.
Third-Fifth grade - Please have your student(s) arrive at 6 p.m. and meet in the Lobby of the Performing Arts Center. After the final choir performance, students will be escorted back to lobby and each grade level will have a designated spot to be picked up.
Choir - Have your student(s) arrive at 5:10 pm and meet in the Lobby of the Performing Arts Center.
There will be a 20-minute intermission between shows so that students can be picked up/go where they’re needed. There are no costumes!
Please note there is always a lot going on at the High School and parking may be scarce! Carpooling or leaving early are great ways to ensure you get a parking spot that isn’t too far away. I can’t wait to see everyone there! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Thank you!
